Short report on research which suggests that the incidence of crown-of-thorns starfish preying on coral reefs drops significantly in no-take zones. It is thought that the protected fish eat smaller fish which usually prey on small marine invertebrates, thereby allowing the latter to eat more of the juvenile starfish.
